ACE’s CLG-4015C Precision Hydraulic Centerless Grinder

The machine features a high-quality cast iron base with a rigid box-type structure, designed for exceptional stability and durability. Sloped surfaces are integrated into the bed to facilitate proper coolant flow and effective bed cleaning. The base is heat-treated and stress-relieved prior to machining to ensure long-term dimensional stability. Its ribbed design enhances static and dynamic rigidity while also offering excellent vibration damping characteristics.

The grinding wheel head is of a fixed type, mounted directly on the machine bed for maximum rigidity. It employs a rigid cantilever-type design that simplifies wheel changes. The grinding wheel spindle runs on high-precision roller bearings, grease-packed to extend service life, and is powered via a dynamically balanced pulley and Poly V-belt system. Similarly, the regulating wheel head utilizes a high-precision, grease-packed roller bearing spindle. Its RPM is adjustable through an inverter drive, and power is transmitted via a worm and worm wheel arrangement. The regulating wheel also allows tilting of approximately +5° to -3° along the horizontal axis for thru-feed grinding applications.

For wheel dressing, the machine is equipped with hydraulic copy profile dressers. The traverse axis is operated by a hydraulic cylinder, ensuring smooth movement and superior surface finish, while in-feed radial depth of cut is controlled manually using micro-feed graduations.

The main in-feed axis consists of an in-feed housing and top slide that travel along ground double dovetail guideways, lined with Turcite to eliminate stick-slip and enhance motion smoothness. A robust sealing system protects the guideways from coolant and dust contamination. The slide is driven by a hardened and ground lead screw, offering excellent wear resistance and smooth operation. All slideways are serviced by a centralized manual lubrication system, ensuring consistent lubrication and high feeding accuracy.

The machine comes with a comprehensive set of standard accessories, including grinding and regulating wheel dresser templates, work rest assembly, wheel loading assembly, single-point dressers for both grinding and regulating wheels, and a 3-tier lamp for better visibility during operation.
