ACE’s Heavy-Duty Horizontal Machining Center – MCH 400

Ace Designers – Machining Center Division from AceMicromatic Group is displaying the MCH 400 with a high-end Fanuc controller. It is a robust, high-performance machine loaded with features suitable for the Automotive, Railways, Heavy Engineering, Energy, Aerospace, and Defense sectors.

Ace Designers – Machining Center Division is the largest manufacturer of machining centers in India. Under the AMS brand, it offers machining centers that deliver top-tier quality and productivity. The division provides a wide range of VMC and HMC products suitable for various applications like Automotive, Die & Mold, Pattern Making, Railways, General Engineering, and Aerospace industries.

Moving column horizontal machines are referred to as the MCH series. MCH 400 is the smallest model in this range. The machine structure design follows the globally accepted HMC configuration, where the X and Y axes are on the column and the Z axis is on the pallet with indexing. As standard, the MCH 400 comes with a Fanuc Beta motor with 18.5 / 15 kW spindle power, 70 mm spindle diameter, 6000 RPM indirect drive, and a 40-tool ATC.

The pallet size is 400 x 500 mm with 1° x 360-position indexing. Customers have the option to select a continuous (0.001°) rotary table (indexing accuracy of ±15 or ±5 arc seconds) in lieu of the 1° index table. Based on application, customers can choose options like a 60-tool ATC, coolant-through-spindle, conveyor type (slat or scraper) with bag/hydrocyclone filtration systems, and 3-rotary-joint hydraulic interfacing for fixture clamping, among others. The MCH 400 machine is compatible with probing solutions and IoT solutions, making shopfloor operations smart, productive, and efficient.

The MCH 400 machine showcased at ACMEE 2025 is customized to suit a specific customer application. The customization includes TPM-friendly design, Fanuc Alpha motors with 10000 RPM, direct drive spindle, 16 LPM, 21-bar CTS with Grundfos pump & bag filtration, and 4+8+4-line rotary joints to suit the customer’s fixture application. It can be offered with a high-end Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controller based on customer requirements.
